Birthday Reflections

...So I sort of sounded whiny in my last post about turning 35.

A couple of good things surrounded my birthday, however.

For one, I was taken to a wonderful restaurant called Four Square Restaurant in Durham by my sweet husband. It was quite delicious. Jeremy had antelope of all things! In addition, he had arranged in advance for this nice treat:

It made me feel special, and after dinner he took me to the UNC campus to listen to some awesome jazz.

Another fun thing that happened was that our friends the Thompsons and the Bensons came over for some games and fellowship. Here's a little peek at what our evening was like.

I promise we were all stone cold sober! I didn't get Jat and Julie's permission to post this, so maybe I'll have to ask forgiveness later. :-) (We were playing a game called Mad Gab - LOTS of laughs came from it!)

Hey Han,

I had trouble with 35 too. I think that's about when I started my blog. :) Anyway, glad things are a little better now. And glad you have friends like Jat and Julie to be crazy with. We don't have that here and I really miss it. I miss getting to play games with folks. When did you say you are moving to Texas? :)

The dinner restaurant looked very nice. And back pats to Jeremy for having the chef do the dessert like that for you. SO sweet!! Good job, hubby! Glad I got see where y'all went for the special night. Love you!

I'll have to go back and look, because I can't remember the phrase they were trying to say!
